Well 2009 came and went without much happening for most but for all of us Pirates here in Ireland it brought with it the founding of the Irish Pirate Party. Already we have over 130 members and with any luck by this time next year we will have the full amount needed to register officially and we will be well on our way to making this country a more free and pleasant place to live.

Today ex Pirate Bay public relations officer Peter Sunde has accused the Dutch anti-piracy group BREIN of falsifying evidence submitted to the Dutch court as part of BREIN's case against the Pirate Bay.

Its been a crazy couple of weeks now and I thought I'd take a moment to say a few words to all of our supporters.

We have had a good few people signing up to the party and I'd like to thank all of these people for their support. We are still a long way from getting registered but we are slowly getting there. There have been a few new members that I couldn't find the time to email back personally so I think I'll just make an overall response here. Welcome all of you to the party. Its nice to have you aboard.
